Gertees
Ger/yurts and teepees are ancient designs for portable tent housing. Niki designed the first GerTee at Denali Wilderness Lodge in Wood River, Alaska in 2004. She has spent many months camping in sub-zero temperatures in order to experience first hand the challenges of staying warm inside a tent (headquarters). This summer the ACL founders built their first full-size "winterized" GerTee in interior Alaska. They've lived in it since August 2007. Plans to expand GerTee building ideas into a retail business are underway.
Websites/Design Work
Nordica completely redesigned the ACL website in February 2007. This is an all volunteer site. It remains under construction. Alaskan Webwriters was formed in September 2007, our first two contracts were: kennylake.com, and Camp Redington.com. Camp Redington is the proposed site of the Tim Redington's Alaskan Family Homesteader's Museum, a recent non web-related project, and it's the host for PrimitivWerks Bazaar, an online shopping mall for locally produced goods and services.
Research
Niki's studies focus on Regional Communitarian Law and Global Communitarian Integration Procedures. She's utilizing law publications available online (mostly European) and recently received DVD materials generously provided by the Jean Monnet School of International Law at New York University. Her study of American History, Politics, Philosophy, Economics, Systems, Programs, Social Theories and various other communitarian publications is falling way behind her studies of local economics.
Radio Interviews
Niki is a recurring guest at Darren Week's radio show. Past radio interviews of both ACL founders include Amerikan Expose, Sweet Liberty, Freedom21-SantaCruz, Jeff Rense, On the Commons, Vyzgoth, and several local stations in the USA.
Video Interviews
Niki is a guest in William Lewis's latest documentary where she speaks on communitarian law, One Nation Under Siege.
